So today, I'd like to open up the topic of skincare.. something that I'm very passionate about and that I find essential for self-care. I'd like to introduce a series of topics on my blog where you'll find a lot of reviews, favorites, not-so favorites, and just an overall look into the journey of all things skincare.

I’m excited to start off the series with the topic of Micro needling, particularly at-home Micro needling. But first, let's get down to the basics of what micro needling is. Typically done in the dermatologist or Med-spa offices it's a procedure that uses a pen-like tool with small needles to puncture the skin that sends micro channel signals to generate collagen, and skin renewal. It gives an overall appearance of smoother, firmer, and more toned skin. But it's also to be found incredibly helpful for hyperpigmentation, and acne scarring. Simply put, mostly everyone can benefit from Micro needling. In the more recent years the introduction of at-home micro needling was found helpful for everyday consumers to benefit from the long term effects, without having to pay large out of pocket expenses.

This week I'm featuring the banisher2.0 micro needling stamp. This particular derma stamp uses 0.5 mm titanium bristles that gently penetrate the skin allowing for better absorption of products and quicker results of scar healing. ( I noticed an immediate difference of plumper and brighter skin the morning after using this tool)

I’ve been on the struggle bus when it comes to managing my acne for many years, and now I feel like I finally have a good understanding of my skin and it’s needs.. but damn is she high-maintenance! It’s left me with a mix of enlarged pores, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots), and now that I’ve entered the 30 and up club I’ve been noticing duller skin, and more fine lines. But ever since I’ve started my micro needling journey, particularly with this tool I’ve been loving the results!
